HISTORY

The Story of the Great Cup

In the third year of Genroku (1690), the first Chobei started brewing sake at the current location. Until the Edo period, the name of Chobei was attacked for generations, and the brand of sake was called “Nagamori”. In the first year of Mannobu, when Oguri Uenosuke, a shogunate account magistrate, traveled to the United States as an envoy to the United States, his ancestors accompanied him, and after returning safely, he raised a celebratory cup in a large cup, so the name of the sake was changed to “Great Cup”.
“Dai Cup” is a quality-oriented sake that has won the Gold Award more than 20 times at the National New Sake Appraisal Competition and the National Tax Bureau Appraisal Competition.
